This page explains how to delete your account in potatoroad, the photo-sharing app by Kamiyaa Technologies Inc., along with the data associated with it. You can do this whether you use potatoroad on the web, Android, or another device.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to support@potatoroad.com from the email address on your potatoroad account, with the subject "Delete my potatoroad account" and your username.
- If you no longer have access to that email address, write to us anyway with your username, and we'll work with you to confirm that the account is yours.
- We'll confirm we've received your request, and email you again once your account has been deleted.
Deletion is permanent and can't be undone. If you'd rather just take a break, you can stop using potatoroad without deleting anything, or make your account private in Settings.
What gets deleted
- Your account: email address, username, name, password, and two-factor settings.
- Your profile photo and bio.
- Your posts, stories, drafts, and archived posts, including the photos and their original uploaded files.
- Your comments, likes, and story views.
- Your followers, the people you follow, and any follow requests.
- Your notifications and achievements.
What we keep, and for how long
- We finish deleting your account and data within 30 days of confirming your request.
- Copies in our backups are removed within 90 days, as backups roll over.
- We may keep limited information for longer where it's needed for security, fraud and abuse prevention, or to comply with a legal obligation, such as a record that an account was banned or that a deletion request was completed. We keep it only as long as that reason applies.
- Content that other people copied or screenshotted outside potatoroad isn't under our control and isn't affected.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual posts, stories, and comments yourself in the app at any time. To ask us to delete other specific data without closing your account, email support@potatoroad.com and tell us what you'd like removed.
